Message: Yes, it can be done but you'll need some custom length pushrods too take the place of the stock ones. You will also need a new cam bolt with fuel pump eccentric eliminator. This may or may not cause a fitment problem with your timing cover. The snout on the front of a flat tappet cam is longer (to make room for the fuel pump eccentric). On my 91 I had too modify the stock timing cover so it would fit. Even though my 91 was a pre-mag motor it still had the roller cam. Hope this helps.
