Message: I have been thinking about putting H.O. Cams with a H.O. intake on my '00 dak (2wd) But wasn't sure if its something I could do? I do have experience turning wrenches, but this is my first dodge and not sure If I should just get it to the stealership. Has anyone done this? Any tips you all could give is much appreciated!!!!!

Message: There's tons of info on that here if you do a search, including tips, how to get by without special tools, and what to watch out for. I did mine, first cam swap for me, toughest part was R&R of valve covers. Many here have done this.

Message: New_SOL,
I just had KRC put HO cams in my 00 CC and those with the my SC tuner seriously woke my truck up.
I highly recommend the cams for sure, I left the factory intake (that the TB bolts to) on my truck but did change out the factory airhat and filter with an homebrew one so it would breathe better. i also bored my TB out to get better airflow.
What woldn't spin the tires before now lays 15-20" of rubber and gets better MPG than before.

Message: New Sol,
Several peoples instructions, including tips on the procedure, even some by me, are all in the archives. Take a few minutes and search using the search bar on this site.
You'll find EVERYTHING you'll need to know.
Good luck
