Message: N56629, do you have the stat mounted on the inside somewhere on your dash panel, or did you leave it under the hood and only adjust it when the seasons change? and what ohm range is the stat that you use?

Message: I used a 0-10k mounted under the hood. You can use the same one on the coolant temp sensor also. I used them during the winter to coax the PCM into closed loop. I thought about adding one to the tranny but just ran out of interest in the project. Using all three and calibrating each one you should be able to exercise considerable control. How long your vehicle stays in open loop has considerable impact on your gas milage, especially during the winter. I imagine that you could do just the opposite during the summer and force it into open loop for a little extra horsepower.
