Message: I have a 2002 5.9 dak. Ive been looking for a bunch of motor mods. What would u go for. I been looking aroung a cold air intakes from what ive heard about, arnt really what they are cracked up to be. I would put in a perormance chip but I dont know wich type to buy. And finally the thing ive already started saving up for is a supercharger. But with insurance and payments on truck that will be a while. Whats something cheaper that will help me find what i am looking for.

Message: A simple search would have found lots of answers for you.
To make it easy, here are some things you can do:
M1 - $450 new
TB - $220-450 for a custom made one. Or get a junkyard TB and port it yourself.
Homemade CAI - $30-60
Relocate IAT sensor - free
Muffler/exhaust - $200-400
Headers - $400 or so for decent ones
1.7 rockers - $200-400
RT heads - $1300 for a complete set
Superchips tuner - $300-400
That should get you started.

Message: The M1 is an intake manifold. Replaces the stock beer keg manifold and eliminates the notorious belly pan gasket leak that will eventually occur. It is a direct bolt on, no modifications needed. Will move your power band up a little - more top end.
TB - Throttle body which sits on top of the intake. The stock TB has a ridge in each bore that impedes airflow. It also has several obstructions on the top that also limit flow. Removing these and cleaning up the TB makes some noticeable gains.
CAI - Cold Air Intake. You can make an intake tube out of PVC from Home Depot, route it to the front of the truck where it can get colder air, and stick a K&N cone filter on the end. Or you can buy a kit pre made, such as K&N, 360 airintakez, etc.
IAT - this is a sensor that measures incoming air temp. The engine computer uses this information to adjust fuel ratio. The stock location is on the intake manifold, which means it is reading hot air. Relocating it to the intake tube reads a lower air temp, resulting in a slightly richer ratio and more fuel, thus more power. It did hurt my MPG though.
