I have heard of two ways:
Remove your negative battery cable, turn the key to start, hold it there for 15 seconds, reset.
Unplug the computer for a few minutes.
That should do it.

You don't even need to unplug the computer. As mentioned, disconnect the negative battery cable and turn the key to start for about 20 seconds. That's all.

So it takes less time to learn. 50-75 miles as opposed to maybe 200 otherwise (if you don't reset).
