Does anyone know of a difference between a 2000 dakota 4.7 and a 2002 durango 4.7 I bought a 02 durango 4.7 to replace my dakota engine and it wont start. Acts like it is out of time. I was told that there is a difference that causes this. If there is a difference, there has to be a solution. I would appreciate any help with this problem.

I heard that the HO 4.7 was diff from the grand Cherokee (cam sensor/target wheel).
I'd THINK a Durango would be a twin for the Dakota.
Sure someone will know.
Oh, was curious what HAPPENED to the 4.7 in your 2000 for you to need to replace it?
