Subject: 2000 Dakota transmission help please IP: Logged
Message:
I have 2000 dakota 4x4 with 5.9 and an automatic tranny. When I put it in drive and step on the gas the truck moves but it doesn't shift up when it should. It also sounds like it reving real high but the RPM's are not really that high on the Tach. If I'm real easy on the Throttle it will shift on up through the gears. But if at anytime I step on the gas with medium pressure the engine sounds like it reving hard and it wont shift.
This started a few days ago. i have changed the tranny fluid and filter 2 days ago and have not seen any diiference. What's going on? Help?
Thank you for the input.
