Subject: headlight condensation IP: Logged
Message: I recently had new headlight housings installed in my 99 dak and the bottom turn signal section has condensation building up in it, how do i get rid of it???

Message: Take them off the truck and warm them up to the point where the conden. evaps. Use a hair dryer to speed the process. Some guys recomend drilling a small (1/8") hole in the bottom but I'm not sure about that. You need to ensure that the h2o isn't going to get in around the lens where it seals to the reflector body. Silicone, epoxy or w.h.y. around the seal to prevent moisture seaping back in. Make sure the seals on the light sockets are good, too.
