I have read alot about the electric fan conversion but I cant seem to find out anything specific on the Ford Taurus/Lincoln Mark 8 fan. These fans are cheap and are supposed to pull some serious air. I live in AZ and sure as heck dont need over heat problems in the summer. I hate that power hogging mechanical wind bomb that is on there now. If anyone has experience with this fan, please let me know.

I have a Lincoln Mark VIII fan waiting for install in my 92. The Taurus fan is actually the little brother to the Lincoln. It is a slightly smaller fan, but much easier and cheaper to find in the junkyards. CFM on the Lincoln is around 4000 on high. Taurus is somewhere around 3000 I think. The biggest problem is power. Using relays on the Lincoln ends up with a huge power draw on startup. I ended up buying a fan control from www.dccontrol.com. The mustang crowd swear by it, and they are the ones who use this fan the most. It gives better control of the fan, and keeps the initial power draw to a minimum. It was pretty close in price to getting all the required Boxch relays and switches anyway.
I do have some wiring info and install stuff at home. I'll see if I can scan it and email it to you. Some of it was from websites that appear to have closed up. If I have some good links I will post them for you.

Yeah yeah, I'll get around to it. Kinda hard to find the time with a 2 yr old running around on the weekends. I have a 2nd car now so I should be able to devote a little more time to the truck now.
