Subject: Leak IP: Logged
Message: Hello i have a leak when driving a while then put it in park and kill it..it is coming from what looks like an overflow valve on the mid fire wall area it is antifreez does it when heater a/c is on or off dont understand any help would be appreciated....also its closer to passanger side..

Message: it sounds to me you have a leaky heater coil, it is a real pain to change but needs to be fixed asap to avoid overheating the engine. just keep a close eye on the coolant level until it is changed, or if it is not a big deal to have any kind of heat in the cab, just unhook the two hoses from the firewall and connect then together with a small piece of pipe until you can get it fixed

Message: ok but i dont understand i am losing coolant but temprature gauge isnt showing engine overheat at all and also i smell antifreez in cab when hetare is on..is it possible to have it cleaned..and the heater coil is quite expensive isnt it
