Message: Just a question to anyone out there. It seems my 4.7L V8 is producing more yellow paste sludge in the oil filler neck this winter then last winter. I'm using 5w30 full synthetic now versus conventional oil last winter. Would this make a difference? I'm trying to keep it clean in the oil filler neck but there was a ton of paste in there today. I noticed my operating oil pressure drop slightly since we've had the last blast of cold/warm weather? Is this a problem or will it go back to normal when I change the oil again?
Thanks...

Message: Pugs, Unfortunely we do have the problem. What I do is clean the oil filler and cap very good. Then put a good film on the oil filler and cap and then leave it alone. *hope this works*
