Message: We changed the timing chains and gears and tensioners. Truck cranked up for about 2 mins and died. Checked all parts and found out the the exicter cam gear had different slots as to the original. Ordered an original timing set from dealer. Installed all timing components and
cranked engine. Lasted about 2 mins. and died?????? All timing marks are in line.
Does anyone think that the first replacement with the wrong exciter cam caused damage???
Need help. Vehicle has been in shop for 2 weeks.
