Subject: Heater IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota....When driving around the heat is fine, but when i come to a stop, the heat gets cold, I take off again, and it the heat comes back? Have no clue, had the heater core replaced a couple months ago due to some damage. Any help would be appreciated.

Message: well, it sounds like the cooling system is cooling too well, so the important stuff is probably working the way it should.
Chances are the thermostat is getting stuck open and needs to be replaced. They're only like 10 bux and take an hour or so to replace.

Message: unless...
heater cores usually don't get damaged because they're hidden behind the dashboard. what kind of damage was there?
