I've run a 14.3 at Carlsbad under 70 F temps, and at Firebird at around 85 F temps... It doesn't seem too sensitive to temps right now (at least in that range).

I've got heads coming-- Anyone want to help install heads/cam in SO. CAL?? The day we do it, we've got to install 1.7s and an M1 in another RT at the same time... F F FU FU FUN FUN!

There's got to be some out there... 3.92 is an optional ratio for the rear gear, and unfortunately so is a sure-grip, anti-spin, whatever it's call today. You can get a TRAC-LOCK for it though-- and have a better locking rear end that the stock unit.

So the limited Slip is not standard on the 3.92 axle ratio ? that sucks how can i change that besides changing rear ends or welding the spider gears together :) (i dont feel like changing an axle dayly)

rtd, i'd like to help ya, but i have never done a cam swap and would probably be looking more than watching. i did my 1.7's and M-1, but you could probably do it quicker than me, so again i'd probably get in your way.

just out of curiosity, where do you live (nearest freeway) and when are you doing the work?

also, i probably asked you this before, but how are you going to smog your truck with the cam?

Smog? What's smog? :P

Just like the M1, I'll probably have to do a swap to get it to pass. That's worst case. Best case, if the computer doesn't freak (it shouldn't, this is a mild cam) then I may have a good chance of passing-- that's what everyone is thinking). Not to worry, I have until 2005 before I have to be inspected anyway-- Or I could get a PO Box in Blythe and not even have to be tested!

DOH!

(I'm in San Diego)
