Message: im just curious about this vehicle. The 5.9L 245HP and 335lbs TQ i think. What is its 1/4 mile time, can you get 4 door or 2 door, can you get 4x4 on it, hows its gas milage, how reliable is it, is it a worthy investment?

Message: The RT came with 250hp and (I think...) 345 ft lbs of torque. They only came in 2 door with either regular or extended cab. 1/4 mile depends on the driver weather conditions and whether its a club cab or regular cab, CC's can hit around 15.1 or so and RC's can get into the high 14's stock. No 4x4 availible, but you sometimes find people claiming that their 4x4 5.9 liter quad cab is an RT, but its not. Don't expect any great gas mileage(10-12 around town, maybe 16-18 highway). Reliability seems to be either a hit or miss with Dodges, some people have put on well over 100k with nothing but routine maintenance, while others get problems at 20k, so that one is hard to say. The most major problems are transmission, balljoints, brake rotors, and whining axles. Good investment? Depends on what you expect out of it. Dont plan on doing any heavy towing or hauling. The truck is a lot of fun for just cruising around and burning up tires, so it really depends on what you plan on doing with it.

Message: Actually the 5.9 was offered in the quad cab configuration for one or two model years in 2wd and 4wd versions. It was rated at 245hp due to a more restrictive exhaust. The RT had a better exhaust, thus the 5 hp increase. RT badging was only on the RT, which was offered in regular cab and extended cab versions.

Message: the 360 is about as dependable as you can get
but there are some quirks..such as blown belly pan gasket...big deal.
also imo you can tow around 4500 lbs with an r/t but you need air bags and heavy duty hitch package.
investmentwise...maybe on down the road they'll go up in value...right now you can find them cheap(7000-12000 or so).
