I got a 2001 4.7 Dak that started running hot today. Looked like my clutch fan was turning slow. I got 56k on this thing.Do u think that my serpentine belt is slipping or is the water pump starting to sh!t the bed? Water level was fine. Maybe thermo not opening all the way? Fan was turning really slow though and really didn't seem to pick up RPM's when I gave it some gas. Anyone had this problem???

Feeling the radiator, is it uniformly hot or does it have cool spots? You wouldn`t be the first 4.7 owner to have a clogged radiator. If no cool spots I would change the thermostat first then the clutch fan if still running hot. When you say the clutch fan isn`t turning is the temp past half way? The clutch fan doesn`t kick in til like 240 I believe. Good Luck.
