When checking my vehicle for recall notices on http://www.dodge.com, it returned this:
VIN Number:1B7GL22NX1S304386
Vehicle Description: DODGE DAKOTA P/U CLUB CAB
Model Year:2001
No Incomplete Recalls or Customer Satisfaction
Notifications Exist
What gives??? I wanted to know more about the
ball joint thing.

If you have a 4X4, then there is definately an error on the website. If you have a 4X2, then you will not get any recall information about ball joints simply because it does not apply to your vehicle. 4X2's have an upper ball joint extended warranty, not a recall.
For what kind of information are you searching? DogdeDakotas.com probably has your answer.
