Message: Hi,new to your forum and would like some info please..I live in the U.K and there aint many Dakotas over here and even less R/T'S so info is a little rare.I have a 2000 reg cab in Amber fire on 20"s i have a set of Gibson headers and a K&N FIPK and a more open exhaust..I've also got a superchips programmer,my question is this, will it (the superchips)work o.k with the filter and exhaust mods? i've been told that they are really suited to standard engines. Also whats the rev limiter set at? our gas runs around 92-96 octane

Message: The tuner should work with the mods that you have. I've got the 4.7L V8 so I don't get the rev limiter modification option. I think you get to increase the rev limiter by 500 rpm but, you really need to talk to someone that has the tuner and a 5.9 or you can email Superchips and they'll answer your questions.

As far as the plug wires go, Jacobs Electronics makes a ceramic plug wire that's much more resistant to heat from headers.
