I got a 00' Dakota SLT 4.7 and when I first start it up after sitting for a couple hours it idles up to about 2500 rpm's then right back down to about 1000 rpm's then drop down to 500 rpm's all within a few seconds. When it drops the last time it stumbles and has stalled on me three or four times through out a 3 or 4 few months. When im sitting at a stop light without the a/c on it has a little rough idle. Changed the TPS, factory Chrysler rplacement, and did a induction service but didnt help much. Got about 75000 miles. Anybody experience the same problem?

changed that, meant to say that instead of TPS. Truck doesn't have a TPS.

My '00 4.7 has IAC and TPS on the TB; would be pretty odd if yours doesn't.

Mine was doing the same thing ..... changed the TPS and it was cured. $25 at Napa
