I know this is bad timing since winter is right around the corner but I want to start this thread so we (us with real engines) can post our race results against other street trucks/cars. I dont think we need descriptive stories about how you mocked them, I think it would just be interesting for others to know what WE are capable of. I want to hear about losses too! So lets cut the crap and start our list!

What do you mean real engines? I thought my 318 was a real engine. Unless you mean all of us with V8's in our daks, then thats ok, and I totally understand. The only other thing I have to say is that all the vehicles you raced had a disadvantage. They were either under powered or weigh alot more than you do. The prelude on the other hand was understandable, I would have been impressed with that one if you would have won, Other than that, good job.

-A whole lot of GTs and Cobras.(All wins)
-Some 1st Gen Ls. (All wins)
-Some 2nd Gen Lightnings. (Mostly wins, some losses)
-Slaughtered an Impala SS.
- A few vettes. (All wins)
Sorry guys, Ha Ha. I was browsing the boards and just thought I would drop in. Not trying to start a war. I am interested in what kills you have. I am going to put my truck up for the winter also. BTW, I drive a 99L with some bolt-ons. Anyone live on Northern Virgina? Sure would like a ride in an R/T. Dennis

Alot more, but i dont really think they would count cause its all just me at a stop light and some punk kid with daddys truck or car thinkin he can take my dak, probably cause it looks completly stock. Ah well, i'll probably smoke some more on the way home. :)

I live in the Midwest and we don't get a olot of fancy stuff out here. Last Saturdee night I blew me away a guy with a trailer full of pumpkins, I felt real good because I bet he had at least 425 HP in that tractor. Zooom Seeya Jack o Latern face

Got another one today ! It was a big John Deere with glass rap around cab. Big Dually 96" tires. Must have been pushing 500 hp with the look of the stack and turbo sticking out of the hood. We pulled up to the field entrance at the same time and he gave a big smile, I knew anyone with a full set of 4 front teeth would be a real serious threat. Me and my quad had a litle disadvantage, I had on a load of Halloween gourds and a couple of pumpkins threw in for good measure. We looked at each other, and in the tradition around here, when the spit hit the ground the hammer was down. Dust everywhere. Zooooooooooom Goooone! Someday I'm going into town and race me one a those other cars you guys are always talking about. Does a Rice Burner work in a Chinese Resturant ?

Well my very first race was against a Camaro Z28 which I did win, but only cause the guy compleatly missed the 2-3 shift..a win is a win though..other than that here they are:

Mid 90's Integra tried to ditch me on a two lane road. I kept up, kept on my side of the road around corners (he didn't on a couple), and during a straight acceleration took him right upto 110MPH where he probably hit the speed limiter (I was still pulling).
Man, I love the tire+handling package :)

I raced my buddy in his 2001 Durango 4x4 4.7L auto 3.55. I beat him in my 4x4 CC Dak with 4.7L and 3.92 5spd. Just thought Id throw that in there. also I beat a lot of chevy trucks, like 1/2 tons with the 350 Vortec. Beat a Cummins once.

what perfect timing for me to read this string....
pulled up to a light where this little rice burning civic was waiting, tailpipe that looked like the kid had a metal bucket welded to his bumper, wing that was basically useless for anything other than resting a beer on while i work on my truck, and a snot-nosed little punk blasting some sort of bass music.....and then me in my stock (other than my k&n drop in) 4.7-kick your @$$ blue Dak.......well, the little bastard reved his hamster-driven engine...i smiled, the light turned green i left with him.....drove about 100 yards (he was white knuckled) i looked over, waved, and the last thing he saw was my tailgate!! god bless america and her trucks!!

Storage! it's Dakota not a Porsche! Throw about 400 lbs of sand in the back and you're good to go. The payments aren't going into storage might as well enjoy your truck!

we get so much salt on the roads up here, the
trucks finish would be wasted after one winter.
Besides, i have a cheap car that i paid nothing
for, costs no insurance and gets twice the
mileage. I plan on keeping the truck after the
lease and throwing a supercharger in it so id like
it to be in great shape for a long tyme.
P.S. honda accords suck when compared to dakotas,
i feel like a
riceburner......................

Before Super Bee puts up his list he should list the parts in his dragster. If that truck is street legal I would like to know what you have done to it. I love my Dakota, but damn if I'm beating a Mustang w/nitrous, new Corvette, and a Viper. I don't think it would make a difference in R/T or GTS form. They would all beat you. I'm not trying to dis you, but the only car that beat you runs in the 9's.

Now that sounds like more like it. Just put on the snow tires and 3 bags of sand today. 10" of snow is a bad thing with 255/65R16s I switched to 235/70R16 uniroyal mud and snow tires. Drivin' in the snow and havin' fun with the new truck.

I mean no to sound cocky i have one that i drive now, and i think i might be able to take some of you stock dakota's it would be a close race , I am thinking about getting DAKOTA for college, and letting my dad have his tundra back, cause i9 can't afford it, but yeah, try racing a Tundra.. I havn't lost a race yet in it, no any of the big 3 trucks and some cars.

Great truck, fun to drive. I like the fact that you can go down the highway catch up to someone going 60 and pass them and be going 90 by their door. The black I wasn't to thrilled about at first but as I added a little crome and pinstriping it really looks good right now. The only thing that I hate about the black is you see every little scratch.
