I have an '03 Dakota quad cab sport, 4.7 V-8, 2-wheel
drive. I'm looking for the best all around all-terrain tires.
The Bridgestone Dueller Revo gets great reviews, but
are pricey. Any suggestions?

I had Goodyear GSA Wrangler's on my 95 Jeep and loved em, they cost about 750.00 for all four but were worth it, I got increased gas mileage and a smoother ride (95 Jeeps and prior years still had front leaf Springs)

GO GO GO GO GOOD YEAR!!!!!

I just got the Firestone Destination M/T I live in alaska. Theres a lot of snow and ice on the roads and they do great. Ive put about 1000 miles on then so far they ride quiet and smoth. They ran about $600.

I have the A/T Revo's size 265/70 R16. I live in central NY, so I see all kinds of weather. I had 235/75 R15 Wrangler ATS, which were new when i got the truck, for three years. And this is my second snow season I've put on the Revo's. I really liked the Wranglers, and I like the Revo's better. The truck floats a little more cause the tires are wide (only noticable in 1" of snow or less). All around they are better tires. Mine cost 640 installed.

Alot depends on where you live and drive though. For a 2 wheel drive truck you may be better off getting a really good set of Street tires for the spring, summer and fall, and then invest in a set of glacier grips for the front, and some mud and snow tires for the rear. My father has a 2 wheel V-6 reg cab, and thats what he does. Great handling all summer, does as good as you can expect a 2 wheel pickup with a few hundred pounds in the back in the winter.

I was stuck between Revo's or Cooper Discoverer A/T's...

Price was my deciding factor...Coopers are great tires, my local dealer is owned by GREAT people and upon my arrival, I saw the new Discoverer ATR's.

In person, these have (to me) a simmilar look to the Revo's. In the picture, they look a little to 'street' for me, but in person they look much better.

I had four LT265/75-16's mounted and balanced for just under $550.

I've owned Coopers in the past and have nothing bad to say.
