Message: I have a 2004 dakota club cab 4.7 with 1200 miles. After just a week of owning it I noticed that i did not want to start in the mornings, after a little craking it will start but acts like it wants to die, so I give it a little gas and it comes to life (almost like it's flooded). I have been noticing this problem now for three weeks in both warm, and cold weather. Just wanted to know what you guys thought.

Message: Mine did the same thing in the mornings but only every once in a while, but ever since I installed new spark plugs, no problems what so ever. But I don't know why you would need new plugs already.

Message: Try this, turn on ignition without starting and waiting 3 seconds, turn off ignition and turn on wait 3 seconds then try to start your truck. If it starts up without lots of cranking, buy a bottle of STP fuel injector cleaner in the black bottle and a bottle of Marvel Mystery oil. Add half the STP plus about 4 ounces of MMO at your next fill up. Do this for 2 fill ups in a row. What maybe happening is the check valve in your fuel pump is sticking and letting your fuel bleed off into your fuel tank or your injectors are clogged and letting fuel bleed into your intake ports. The STP + MMO clean and lubricate these components. Hopefully it's just the valve in your fuel pump. If it works, I'd find another gas station to buy gas, your favorite gas station probably has contaminated or dirty gas. Good luck!

Message: fred, such words of wisdom. I haven't heard profound statements like that since I watched Archie Bunker. You obviously have lots of experience waiting for the dealer to figure out what's wrong with your truck.
