this is my first visit to this site, i wish i'd been here sooner! i have 97 dakota 5.2 4 wheel drive and i'm looking at a lower ball joint replacement and an idler arm on the front drivers side. i'm not to keen on paying the outragous labor pices that local shops want to charge, so i was wondering if anyone had any advice on what i might be getting myself into doing the work myself.

Well, I have a 94 with a 318. And I replaced all the ball joints. Air tools are nice. And I had to rent a tool from auto zone. It was wel worth it though. The job isn't too bad, but like I said it is the earlier generation truck. Feel Free to e-mail me.
