I have a 99 R/T with over 114,000 on it. when im goin down the freeway, the cluster just starts going nuts. it does this and quits all the way to work and home the past few days. I know i have to fit it, but the dealer wants 825.00 for the part alone. the question is? will all 97-00's w/auto work including durango or is it specifically 99 only,or can i take the cluster to a auto electric and speedo shop and have them try to fix it? any and all help, please. thanks tracey

maybe just maybe you could see about buying a chip/programmer for your r/t like hypertech, jegs, etc..... they say one will recalibrate your speedometer.

they costs 460.00 for a quality one and that would be almost half the price not to mention better horsepower/ torque for your set-up.

Sounds a little more serious though and this is no proven suggestion but check your dealer or locate a programmer store to see if this might work!!!!

it was the cluster. i had it teched at the dealer, today but i had a line on one on monday. it was a salvage one, two thousand miles different and six hundred less. if your going down the road and the guages on your cluster go beserk. get ready to pay cause it starts at 1100.00 and goes up not down.
