Message: Our buddy is a Marine currently in Iraq. He has a 2000 R/T and he asked us to get his exhaust set up for him before he gets back. The problem is, none of us know much about Dakota exhaust options in the aftermarket (he's our Mopar guy). He's got headers, but he wants an x-pipe, cats, and mufflers. His style is the louder the better (he's got a 1973 Charger that's already pretty loud). His mom is set to disburse funds, which are ample. We just need suggestions from yall about what to buy. Thanks for any help.

Message: The best suggestion I can give personally is go to any reputable exhaust shop and tell them what you want and what he said he wants (your friend).
It will cost for the kind of setup he's thinking about, but if it's not a big deal then go for it.
Just make sure to tell them he wants "true duel exhaust".
There are those on this board who will argue to death the differences between flowmaster and magnaflow (and others). My observations are that the flowmaster 40 or 50 series is the best way to go. It's not the loudest, but it is the most dependable aftermarket muffler out there. I have had two on different vehicles and I can honestly say I enjoyed them without any problems with rust, etc...
Hope this helps
