Message: my stock clutch fan is acting up...big suprise!....has anyone removed this from their R/T?...is the factory electric fan enough?

The first thing I did to my R/T (00 BW RC) was take off the clutch fan and installed a direct drive flex a lite PN: 1519 fan. Need the Ford adapter (PN: 501 or 502, don't remember the exact PN) and 1/2 inch spacer. I also put in a 180 degree t-stat. Truck runs at 160-170 max even with the A/C.
Hope this helps. I think you will like the results. The only down side????? Screams at WOT.

Message: Clutch fan is not needed the electric is plenty.
I run a supercharger set-up with no clutch fan with no overheating issues.
