5 star dealer must have given my ball joints to someone else - called late this afternoon while I was out plowing to leave a message cancelling my morning appointment after I scheduled over a week in advance and took the day off work for it. Said they had plenty when I scheduled.
Any advice on what kind of perks I might ask for to make this right if they want to keep a customer who would likely trade for a hemi Dak when they come out (recently someone was speculating '06?) ? Freebie on a coolant change and new hoses too much to request ? Response would be welcome from anyone else with reasonable suggestions or similar experience too.

lol Kowalski. If you have an existing relationship with someone there at that dealership, then milk it for whatever it's worth. Otherwise, a freebie LOF, tire rotation or a wash job is about the best you could expect.

Thanks for the reply - I take care of that stuff myself, run synthetic and tires recently rotated for winter. Might just have to have some fun shaming them then, they earned it.

How about this for a perk? Have them call the local CarQuest or NAPA store and get you a couple of Moog ball joints and install them...lol

Thanks, guys ! Turns out when I called in the morning to complain, they had some ball joints ! I wonder if they overbook and hang on to a couple of sets for people who complain they don't expect service like this from a five star dealer ? Are they all five star dealers ? Looks like that hand out five star like a crackerjack prize if this is how they treat people. IMHO ;-)

Kowalski, I know what you mean. The tech I talked with seemed very intelligent, but couldn't find my problems with the TPS and the UO2S. The warrentee is out now (they tried to get me to purchase a 36/3 warrentee for $1.3k) so with the money I saved I'll fix it myself.
Got a joke for you, Up in WI they wanted to engineer a better fish, so they crossed a Koho Samon with a Walleye and called it a Kowal. Tasted great, but didn't have the fight they wanted. Then they crossed it with a Muskey and called it a Kowalski. Great fish, but they are still trying to teach it how to swim.
