Message: I`ve heard not to use plat plugs because it will fry your coils. But I`ve also heard that the coils on a HO and reg 4.7 are the same part #. The HO comes stock with plat plugs so I think plat plugs won`t fry a reg 4.7 either. This may be proof of that.

Message: Those aren't knock sensors on each side of the intake manifold, they're coil capacitors which are suppose to suppress coil noise which might effect the operation of sensors.
Looks like there aren't any knock sensors on the standard 4.7 engine. I checked the 2000 service manual, no mention anywhere of knock sensors. They don't appear in the schematics either. Another site I found (none DMC) had their information wrong too, besides the sensor, it described electronic throttle control or "drive by wire" which we all know is wrong. Sorry to pass on bad information. It just made sense that the 4.7 would have a knock sensor, many Mopar engines have them and the 3.7 is suppose to be based on a 4.7 with 2 cylinders missing. I guess I should have looked for the knock sensor when I had my intake manifold off but, I was in a hurry to get the newer style ('04) manifold on. I guess you have to scrutinize everything you read since just because it's in writing doesn't mean it's true.
