Message: No, you are not missing anything. It is in fact a cheap piece of crap that is trying to imitate the real thing.
In other words, you get what you pay for.

Message: Also, if you read the page, you'll find many grammar and syntax errors. Not very professional. Not a good impression.
Tube is in two pieces with a rubber clamp in the middle. Looks like they bought some 90 and 45 degree bends and sticking them together. Should be one piece.
N56629 is right. Stay away. $27 is a good price, but that price is offset by the $20 shipping.
Contact address is "intake_power@yahoo.com." Not a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Message: It would work for what you would want it to do. (Higher air flow) It's not as pretty as a Volant, K&N, or other aftermarket intake, but it would serve the purpose. If you knew someone with the polished aluminium pipes and bends you could make your own. www.truckperformance.com has an Air F/X system for 111.99 that looks pretty tight with no splices, and they back their stuff with a great warranty. Probably worth it for the looks if you want to save your pennies...

It's worth nothing if the aircleaner on the end doesn't even flow as much as a stock one. Just because you see something with a cone filter on the end of some tube doesn't mean it is better. I've seen some so small that I wouldn't put it a 1.8 four banger.

Message: Looks just like my 360AirIntakez one on my 4.7. Thing works great,,and I actually prefer it to be in two pieces,,,makes it way easier to get the filter in and out. I'm sure a little tiny little seam in the metal is not going to make any difference in your intake's performance....... I would just make sure the filter is worth a crap. I forgot to look at the price though....yep,,,that's cheap!

Message: N56629,
I couldn't agree with you more. I believe, the stock flows 526 cfm on a 5.9, my home brew intake i made takes advantage of an 750 cfm cone style k&n filter.
Heck the filter was the most expensive part.

Message: A good cone filter with good filter oil when air goes through smooth bends into your intake = higher velocity.
N56629: how the hell do you know your stock filter works better than an aftermarket one, have you taken it off and put an after market one on?
If you couldn't get more flow through a K&N or the like, they wouldn't be selling them.
Exhaust is also important if you move air in faster it has to have somewhere to go, and the factory exhaust is restrictive. You won't help your power much with the intke upgrade without an exhaust upgrade aswell.

Message: I bought this intake from E-Bay,I am happy with it's performance. The cone filter is every bit as good as the K & N or Volant, But only qtr of the prise . When the truck is idle you can sure here the air flowing. When you mash the peddle it
really sound good.

But why put a cheap Knock off on your $25K truck.
Would you use Walmart oil?
Reguardless, spend your money the way you want, you worked for it!
Read the buyer feedback first.

Message: I bought one, and am very pleased with the fit and quality of the intake tubes.
BUT... I immediately replaced the filter they provided with a new, preoiled K&N filter (also found on eBay). The cone filter that came with the intake was a dry, little thing that I wouldn't even think of using. Ended up spending around $65.00 total for a very good looking 360airintakez knockoff, that I'm sure performs to within 99% of 360airintakez claims. That's of course assuming the 360airintakez does what it claims to do... ;-)
