ihave a '98 5.2 ihad asp pulleys they took .3 off time in 1/8 mile but had charging problems the alternator wouldnt charge the battery all the way,and with the air on the check guage light would come on (low volts)
you should look for some power and amp pulleys from march or bbk.
definately worth it if you get the ones without charging problems adds real good torque

I installed underdrive pulleys on my 97 5.2. I have not had any problems and have seen a .5 increase in MPG but did not notice any power.
