Subject: Front Breather Leak?!?

99 Dak, 318, 4wd, Auto, 71,500 miles.

I had oil come out of my front end breather tube that runs
down to my front axle. Any reasons why this has happened, this
is the first time for it, and it made a pretty big mess. I've
checked the level in the front diff and it still seems full. Cleaned
what I could to see if it happens again.

Checked all my other fluids, tranny, oil, coolant, power steering
and all are in normal levels nothing out of the ordinary there.
Someone suggested that it could be water in the fluid? We have
been having some cold nights, last night not the coldest by far.
Got to work, went back to get some stuff and a big wet puddle
was on the ground's passenger side front end. Opened up the
hood and that side by the breather tube was a total mess, and I
just hate the smell of diff gear oil, yuck.

Any idea's, thoughts, things to check?

Thanks!!

- Eric
