My buddy has a '94 Dakota, with a 318. Not sure what rear end is in it, but he would like to get some more top end speed out of the truck while keeping the RPM's down. My question basically is, does anyone know what rear would have been stock in this truck, and what rear would give the performance he's looking for? The rear needs to be replaced do wear related noises he's hearing. Any suggestions as to where to get a complete rear online?

8 1/4" rear with 3.21s,3.55s or 3.92s,
look in the glove box or under the hood for the built sticker or pull the diff.cover and check the ring gear for the ratio it will be stamped in it
