 Subject: what's it weigh?

I have a 2002 quad cab with a 4.7 auto transmission and air conditioning. Does anyone know what it weighs? I hope to get around to a scale in the next while to weigh it accurately, but if anyone knows offhand I'd appreciate the info. Thanks.

About 4200 for a 4x2, 4400-4500 for a 4x4.

I looked at my window sticker hanging in my garage, I ordered my dak. I thought it has the vehicle weight the way it was built, couldn't find it.
Anyway, I've got a 01, QC, with the 4.7, manual, SLt, Trailer towing, tire and handling, 4x2, etc, etc.
The options make a difference, like the rear wsway and 16's on the tire and handling pack, the SLT with the chrome bumpers, and the larger battery, alternator, radiator, receiver hitch, etc. etc.
I thought mine ways about 4800 lbs. I don't know though. the only way heavier is a 4x4.

I used the scale at a local trucking company today. The truck with driver, passenger, and a full tank of fuel came in right at 4900 lbs. Take away 300lbs. for occupants, plus a bit for winter clothes and a bit of slush hanging off the truck and it comes in at a bit under 4600 lbs.

22 gallons of gasoline weighs 132 pounds, which you deduct to reach the "dry" weight. The 2005-model Dakota weights can be seen under "specifications" at www.dodge.com .

By the way, you can use the 2005 figures as a rough comparison. The 2004 CC's were 150 pounds lighter than a 2005, while a 2004 QC was only 60 pounds lighter than a 2005.

I dropped off a load of stuff at the landfill
last week. They weigh as you go in and then
again on the way out.
With a full tank of gas and subtracting my weight
my 04 QC AWD 4.7 auto with tow package, bed liner
& cover, heavy duty cooling, etc came in around
4850.
