Message: On my 2000 4.7 liter I did what some suggest. Remove the filler tube and wrap it with that foam/silver insulating tape. Was not difficult to do, had to make a few minor cuts and wraps. Now only a very small amount of build up in the tube, but no foam.

Message: It did minimize the foam build up in the filler tube, and a pretty easy and cost effective job so why not give it a try.
Also I use mobil 1 full synthetic, and change every year or 5K miles. Never have had any oil pressure issues.
