Message: Rear axle speed sensor failures are common, but not likely for a slipping condition. Most of the time, the symptoms include "ABS" light on, "BRAKE" light on and sometimes the speedometer will not read properly. "Check Engine" light or MIL light can come on for output speed sensor failure, but this would generally cause your transmission to go into "limp" mode and allow it to shift up to second gear only.
