Installed a Gibson catback on 2001 4.7 Quadcab 4x4 Dakota. Excessive resonance solved by replacing muffler with big block flowmaster, slightly angled to clear frame. Excellant system.
Also have created ABS homemade elbow to replace big square baffle chamber connected between throttle body and air box (accordian hose). About 6" of 3" diameter ABS, 90 degree 3" elbow, and 3 " ABS coupler from Home Depot. I like my airbox closed and want true cold air. Waiting for Volant to make a closed box ! I think I actually feel a differance and the intake sound is just slightly increased.
