Subject: 4.7 speed limiter question
IP: Logged

Message:
I just bought a 2001 dakota quad cab. It has a few mod. I expected it would shut off at about 100 mph. But, the other day I had it past 115 mph. Does that mean the last own had it chipped? And if so, is there any way to know what other changes may have been made by the chip? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Guess I backed out a little too soon. I'll see if I can hit that mark. Probably suck down a full tank of gas trying :)Thanks

Yeah, is a hair over 115...it hits the limiter pretty hard too, kinda surprises you.

To bypass the speed limiter, turn the key to "start". The starter won't engage because you're not in Park or Neutral.
