I have a 02 4.7L Dak. I currently have HO cams, and all the minor tweaks as far as AIT and TPS. I hand ported my TB this weakend to about 69.25mm according to the digital readings. I have a 3inch homemade intake with a huge K/N filter on it. Would there be any gain inn building a new 4 inch intake? and also where can I get a larger butterfly so I can go even further w/ the TB or is it about right size for my mods? Thanks in advance for any answers I can get, I really would hate to waste time and $ for nothing.

I have a 5.9 with a 52"mm tb from the fastman and i works great. I know it's not the size you are looking for but you would be inpressed with his work. Once the computer learned the new air, fuel mixture with the larger tb the truck runs strong its enough that you can tell by feeling the difference in the seat of your pants. Also you will not find a better price for a tb. When i got my throttle body i inspected it for any possable inperfection and there was none and i looked in great detail. So if you want a top notch reworked throttle body talk to Dan at fastman.com he is a good guy and easy to work with. He has no problem spending a little time answering any of your questions. If you get a chance you should check his site out i think you will like what you see. By the way i was impressed enough with the tb that i'm ordering a m1 intake from him that he is going to do some porting work on. I hear that he does a excellent job on these too. I hope this helps you decide what you want to do with you tb.

It's good, but also way overpriced IMO.

True, but not by enough to warrant the extra cost for it unless you plan on extensive mods.

HO cams
Moved AIT
TPS at .78V
TB ported to about 69.25mm
3 inch homebrew intake w/ a large K/N
These are my only mods and are about all I plan to do to my truck, I am trying to see if there is any more gains I can get by either enlarging the TB a little more even though the inside diameter is still 68mm since I have a stock butterfly. or by enlargeing the intake tube to 4 inch. I want to try and max out the mods I do have for as little $ as possible. Also any ideas on how to get a larger butterfly?

Simple, just make another one. It's just a round disk of aluminum with two holes in it.

If "the inside diameter is still 68mm" then all you have is a 68mm Tb. You can open the top and the bottom as much as you want and the flow will still be restricted by the 68mm diameter.
