 Subject: 4.7 sensor question

my buddy just relocated some sensor to his cold air tube on his 5.2. the sensor was on the passenger side of the intake manafold right in the front. what is it? he said it will make the computer think the air in the intake manifold is cooler. can i do the same thing on my 4.7

Sounds like the IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor. Refer to Speedtweaks.com (tips&tricks) for more info.
