 Subject: help on 4.7

i just got my 4.7 block back from being built to find there is a small hole on the back of the block on the passenger side toward the top of the block kinda close to the engine dipstick hole does anyone know if there is a plug that goes here or if it stays open

What did you take outa that hole before you sent the block out to "be built"?

Is there one on the other side of the block also? Could that be the hole for the PCV system? Is it a machined hole? We need more details and punctuation.

No, there is not a matching hole on the other side of the block, it is a machined hole, but im pretty sure it not part of the pcv system. The hole is about a 1/4 of an inch, going digonal into the block, the hole is not theraded which would lead me to belive nothing goes there, but I dont want to start the engine until I know if something goes there.
