Hey folks, hope you can help me with some info about my new CC R/T..Im going to be using it to pull my bass boat alot,tandum axle trailer, tougue weight is less than 600lbs, overall boat weight around 2100..I done have a class 3 hitch on, Firestone air helper springs ready to go on so I don't get the rubber stops on the axle and keep everthing level, K&N Gen2 kit should be here this week, just got my hard cover on the bed today..thats what i got for my setup for towing, is there anything else i need to check out?? I keep seeing about everone going to a 180 t,state, why?? also i hear that the trans cooler could be larger, any thoughts on that ??....Thanks

Don't tow with OD on, and you might want to look into a Level 10 shift kit. A larger tranny cooler would help some.Just don't be too hard on it I've got a 2002 R/T also and the tranny sucks compared to my '98 Mustang GT. Atleast until I put the shift kit in.

Don't think a shift kit will help with towing any at all, and might actually not be good for towing. A 180 t-stat will allow the engine to run cooler, and since the tranny fluid goes through the radiator the tranny will be cooler as well. Don't use OD unless you are on a long straight stretch of road. The weak link in our trannies is the OD unit. I woudl look into getting a receiver. Towing with the bumper might not be a good idea

HSKR i got a class 3 receiver already on....
dakota657 B&M coolers run between 50 to 80 bucks, I had a medium size for about 55 on my F150 from Advance Auto, not hard to install if you got the room....Thanks guys
