if u are messing with the tranny, and u have to drop the pan. might as well replace it, might same u some problems in the future, and u save some money on tansmission fluid also

the guy is right but if you havent ever seen in
your transmission u might want to look. take
the pan off or have sombody take it off and
look at ure magnet in the pan if it has tons of
metal shavings on it u might have ure tranny
checked out sou dont have to go without a
vehicle while ure getting it replaced at an
unconvienent time.if there isnt alot or the
metal shavings are so small u can barely feel
them(feels like ooze)its alright. get u some
engine bright and clean it out make sure u
dont leave any engine bright in the pan or u
could start a fire in ure transmission. dont
worry it may look hard but it isnt. make sure u
check the dipstick while the truck is in neutral
and warmed up.
