can u only get the 4.7 motor in the 4by4 models i was just wandering cause i was checking some out and it seems they all had 4.7 or is the 5.2 and 5.7 like special request models?

The 4.7 is availible in 4x2 configurations, the 4.7 was put in dakota's in 2000. The 5.2 is from 1999 and previous models and also availible in 2wd. The 5.7 isn't offered in the dakota.

5.9 is available in some quadcab 4x4's 2002 i don't know what other years, maybe 2000-2002? but quad cabs definitely due to the extra weight. 4.7 is definitely avail in 2wd also
