Subject: Bunper adjustments??? IP: Logged
Message: I was offroading in my all stock 99 cc 4x4 going thru a few ruts with about 1.5 feet of water in them. When i got out ( no prob with new wrangler rt/s tires ) and got her back home i noticed i had knocked my bumper out of algin somehow. Musta hit a rock buried in there. I looked under the truck and saw that it looks like 2 bolts could be loosened to bring the side down again. . .is this true? The passenger side of the bumper is moved up about 1.75-2" other side is fine.

Message: i don't know about the back bumper, but if it's the front then yeah, two bolts on each side of the bumper. i had to straighten mine because it was drooping from the factory. but they're a b-tch to loosen.

Message: Which two bolts are you talking about? Mine could use a bit of straightening too. I noticed there are two up top that you can see when you lift the hood and I think there are two more underneath, just in behind the fog lights.

Message: When I wrecked, they replaced my bumper brackets, and it was off by about half an inch on 1 side. It looked really bad, so to compensate, I just added a piece of pvc I cut overtop of where it bolted in. Now my bumper sits almost as straight as it used to. I wasn't too worried about it, because a friend of mine did it. Instead of going to insurance, or paying the 3.9k to fix it. It only cost me $900. I figured a little bit of pvc isn't much to complain about.
