The Jeep Liberty is available with a Mercedes diesel engine. He wants Dodge to offer the same engine in the Dakota, which IMO is a good idea. I would buy a diesel Dakota.

Can you buy the Diesel separately from MoPar?
More importantly, it needs the computer & all that wiring, right?
A noble effort, but off the bat it's time consuming, IMO. The most I'm doing to my 5.2L 99 CC is a conversion to a 5-speed.

yeah, i would consider a diesel dakota too.
i'd get a hemi first though. that should be out in dakota soon from what i hear from a dealership owner friend of mine. later this year, 06 at the latest
