Subject: transmission ? IP: Logged
Message: is there anyway to adjust the point at which your transmission drops down a gear. once my truck is in o.d. i have to have the gas pedal almost all the way to the floor to get it to downshift. this is on a 99 r/t. any help would be appreciated.

Message: Several ways:
(1) Adjust your TV cable
(2) Shift Kit (with adjusted TV cable as well)
(3) Mopar PCM
(4) See #2 and #3 (very nice combination!)

Message: i already have the mopar pcm and i have tried the tv adjustment. didn't like the shifting at all after adjusting the tv cable, i put it back to where it was. i have heard from other sites about a locknut of some sort on the outside of the transmission that you can adjust. you break the loknut loose and adjust the setscrew. anyone know anything about this?
