Subject: maybe an engine prob IP: Logged
Message: i have a 00 4.7 4x4 5spd dak,and i noticed today that i have a milky white stuff at the filler tube for my oil,but on the dip stick shows nothing but oil,am i getting moisture at the filler tube somehow or do a have a blowed head gasket??
my truck has 77000 miles on it.
any info would help

Message: Where do you live? While unlikely, it is possible for condensation to cause this. Pull the oil cap and see if it shows a similar condition. Change your oil and then monitor closely. Check to see if your exhaust is white after the engine is warmed up. Does it smell sweet. If it does, you have a leaky head or manifold gasket. Check to see if your cooling system maintains pressure.

Message: so its normal for the oil fill neck to have a milky white mix,but when i check my oil it looks to be fine.
i thought i might had to replace a gasket or maybe an engine.
when i saw it,it kinda had me worried.
