Subject: Motor breaking down IP: Logged
Message: Hey all! Long time reader, long time dakota sufferer. Just repaired the belly pan gasket on my dak, along with a new water pump. Now my truck runs fine for a few minutes, but starts breaking down (ie. starts misfiring BADLY) after that until it just shuts down. Sounds to me like it is not getting enough spark or fuel. Replaced plugs and cap/rotor, no change. maybe electrical, but checked & rechecked all the connections.
Any help is greatly appreciated. My beast is a '99 4x4, 5.2 nv3500.
Thanks again!

Message: Sounds like a fuel problem...
Check your pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail. I bet you you get a pressure drop. Problem could be a kinked line, faulty pressure regulator, etc.
You need 20# to spray in the stock injectors I think.
