Subject: 4.25 km / L (9.98 mpg) IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a new 2004 quad cab dakota 4x4 4.7 v8 magnum 5 speed automatic trany and I only have 700km's on it but I am getting aprox 350 km/ fill up aprox(80L).
Is it low because it is not broke in?
What kind of increase do you think I will get?
I have reat lots about 12mpg to 16 mpg and more but.
Any thoughts
Dwayne

Message: Dwayne, I'm getting around the same mileage as you right now. It's the cooler temps this time of year that will kill your mpg. Being so new will factor in there a bit as well.
You won't see an improvement until it warms up. I usually get around 425kms city driving and 500-530 hwy driving in the summer.

Message: Have an '02 cc with 4.7L 5-speed manual. Get about 400-425 Km's from about 60-65 L of fuel. Mostly city driving.
