I think there is a problem with my truck, maybe not. It is a '95/ 2WD/ 5.2L/ Ext Cab/ Automatic. The turning radius is horrible. I have had an S10, a Ranger, and they turned a hell of a lot better. I would think the Dakota, not being much larger that the S10 would have a similar radius. Hell, a full size truck turns sharper (I think). Although it does seem like the wheels on a full size "lean" at full lock. Am I imagining this or is there something I am missing?

95DAK318, You must have a problem with your truck because my truck turns into parking places just fine. I owned a GMC 4 door Duramax previous to the Dakota and you needed a baseball field to turn around in. Had to jocky back and forth to park at the mall.

Any idea what could be wrong? I know I need to replace my inner-tie-rod ends, but I was told that that would not cause this.

I have a 1993 5.2 CC 2WD, and find the turning radius to be bruttle, just the way they are. I put a brand new rack in, and it is the very same, this is the way they were designed, get used to it.

On a 4 lane, I can do a very nice U turn to the lane going the other way ( no problem)!

my 2000 dodge ext cab can turn curb to curb without hopping onto sidewalk, the s-10 ext cab counldn't do that. had best of luck with this dodge!
